The flow measured at Martinrive has risen to 2.82 m³/s, above the 2.5 m³/s threshold that governs opening. Descents are running again.

The Amblève had been closed to navigation for 70 days. It took a spell of rain over the upper catchment to climb back above the 2.5 m³/s threshold and stay there.

At 2.82 m³/s the river sits at the low end of its navigable range. The current stays weak: expect more paddling than in spring and a descent longer than the posted time. A few shallow sections may mean stepping out of the boat for a couple of metres.
