Availability & booking — frequently asked questions

How do I know if a kayak is available on the date I want ?

Use the online booking : the calendar shows real-time availability by route and by date. You immediately see the slots still open and can book in a few clicks.

Do you need to book in advance ?

It is strongly recommended, especially on weekends, public holidays and in summer, when departures fill up quickly. On weekdays and out of season, booking is still advised to guarantee your boat at the desired time.

What should I do if my slot is full ?

Several options : choose another time during the day, a nearby route, or another river (Semois, Lesse, Ourthe, Amblève). The calendar automatically suggests the closest available alternatives.

Can I book on the same day ?

Yes, subject to availability, up to the booking cut-off time (noon on the day itself). After that, book for the next day. In high season, it is better to plan a few days ahead.

What happens in bad weather or if the river is closed ?

If navigation is prohibited (flood or flow too low — see our water level pages), the descent is postponed or refunded. Light rain does not prevent paddling : simply bring suitable clothing and a change of clothes.

How many people per kayak ?

Depending on the model : single (1 person) or double (2 people, ideal for an adult and a child). The number of seats and available kayaks is shown at the time of booking.
